Description
If Pennell could fix with Messrs Macmillan would be glad to write book Grey Galloway or The Grey Galloway Land for them if they would arrange for Pennell to illustrate it; they would arrange Crockett's terms with Mr A.P. Watt as in case of other books they've made contracts for; doesn't think any difficulty would arise about that; stuff would be light, personal, topographical, incidental in style of sketch contributed about year ago for The Woman at Home called The Imperial Hand; travel papers generally but whole forming companion to traveller in Galloway and to own novels; thinks appendix of descriptive passages from The Raiders, The Lilac Sunbonnet and other more recent books would be palatable to reader; knows thing sure to be done and would rather do it himself with Pennell's help than let ordinary hack at it; Pennell can tell this to Messrs Macmillan if cares to
