Spoke to Messrs Hodder and Stoughton's representative about book and mentioned Pennell's terms to which they made no objection; will be in London towards end of January and if possible might leave final arrangements until then; only difficulty is getting time to write book as pretty full up next year; thought of guinea edition by subscription say 500 copies or perhaps 1000 if fortunate and then 6/-; not so keen on getting anything much out of it as on having thing creditably done; thinks Pennell ought certainly to arrange for month of next year at least to be spent in Galloway; will direct steps
