Description
Curious about letter; was in Spain at time and agent or his clerk must have opened letter by mistake and returned it - idiots are common over here, good season for them; glad Pond had good time with Dr Watson and that all things marched well on trip; still far too busy to think of coming over; besides which lecturing is at present somewhat impossible; had interesting visitor the other day - Pond's friend Mrs Douglas from Omaha; enjoyed her brightness very much and sorry she could stay so short a time; she carries many kind messages to Pond and Mrs Pond from all of them
