Pleased to receive Manchester Literary Club papers at reasonable price; very obliged for photograph containing many known portraits; thanks for kindly thought; would be glad of anything on early privateering, buccaneering or piracy (all much the same thing); writing book requiring extensive reading; got volume of Liverpool Privateers recently published but sure there must be earlier books; also anything about thousands sent as slaves to American colonies in 17th century would be most helpful
